Ravi believes that open data geeks can not only spread the message but also build products that everyone, especially women and minorities, can use to make our society more equal. Ravi has co-founded a non-profit, Grassroot Movement in Nepal (GMIN), which builds schools in remote parts of his native Nepal. He has a MS degree from Columbia University and was a Fellow at the Toni Stabile Center. He serves on Buena Vista University’s President’s Advisory Council, and was a Penn Kemble Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy. He often guest lectures and speaks at universities in the US and Nepal.
